Wedding Chapels
Chapel of the
Bells
2233 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 233-2391
Hours: Monday through Thursday 10am - 9pm, Friday & Saturday 10am - midnight
What you think of when you think Las Vegas wedding. A huge, garish sign makes this chapel
impossible to miss. It also happens to share a parking lot with the Fun City Motel.
Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. This small chapel only seats about two dozen people, but
more than half the weddings performed here have plenty of seats left over. Same-day
ceremonies can be arranged.
Chapel of Love
1431 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 922-5683
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8am - 9pm, Friday & Saturday 8am - midnight, Sunday 9am
- 9pm
The Chapel of Love is actually four chapels in one. Some of the rooms are very small, but
each is themed with a color, so it makes it more distinctive. All the rooms are well-kept,
pretty and reasonably priced. The Peach and Lavender rooms hold sixteen people, the Rose
chapel holds fifty and the Rainbow Chapel holds thirty-five. Don't worry, the Rainbow
chapel isn't a multi-hued nightmare. The Chapel of Love also has a reception room where
refreshments can be served. You have a choice of cold buffet or hot hors d'oeuvres.
Cupid's Wedding
Chapel
827 Ls Vegas Blvd.
(800) 543-2933
Hours: Sunday through Thursday 10am - 10pm, Friday & Saturday 10am - 1am
There are many nice touches that make Cupid's Wedding Chapel one of our favorite chapels.
First of all, they schedule weddings at least one hour apart. Don't under-estimate how
important that is. Cupid's uses this hour well as they really gear up for every wedding.
There's a wedding procession with a special introduction for the bride and groom, and
after the ceremony they will play the couple's song, so they can have their first dance
right at the pulpit.
Another nice feature of Cupid's (besides the fact that there are only Cupid statues in the
lobby) is that they perform special ceremonies for people who have children from previous
relationships. The children take part in the ceremony and are given their own token to
symbolize the parents are marrying them too. The chapel itself is simple but pretty and
seats about seventy.
Graceland Wedding
Chapel
619 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 824-5732
Hours: Sunday through Thursday 9am - 9pm, Friday & Saturday 9am - midnight
If you're even reading this, you will probably be disappointed to know that this chapel
has no affiliation or connection to Elvis, but you will appreciate the fact that both Jon
Bon Jovi and Lorenzo Lamas got married here. One of the owners happened to be a friend of
Elvis and got permission to use the name.
The New England-style church has a white picket fence outside and a burgundy and white
interior. It seats about thirty. It's not bad, but there is no apparent reason a celebrity
would get married here.
Little Chapel of
the Flowers
1717 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 843-2410
Hours: Daily 8am - 10
The staff here is exceptionally nice, but the facilities are fairly generic. Another New
England-style church with a tiny gazebo in back. There are two chapels, the Victorian
Chapel which holds about thirty and the Heritage Chapel which holds about seventy. We're
not sure what a heritage Chapel is supposed to look like, but the Victorian Chapel doesn't
look Victorian at all. However, both chapels are nice. It's hard to describe because it
wasn't particularly memorable. However, the Little Chapel of the Flowers was distinctive
enough for Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra who almost got married here.
The Little White
Chapel
1301 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 545-8111
Hours: Open 24 hours
The Little White Wedding Factory is a more appropriate name. (Although the chapel is
little and white) This is the chapel that introduced Vegas to the drive-through wedding.
Their claim to fame is that Michael Jordan and Joan Collins got married here, and they
have a huge sign announcing this fact. All that we can say is that everything is as you
would expect it to be from a chapel with a drive-through window. The staff is dressed in
hot pink smocks and make sure you don't clog the flow of nuptials. If you're looking for
the ultimate Las Vegas Kitsch wedding, your search is over. We have to admit the fact that
Joan Collins got married here gives it that extra kitsch touch.
Mission of the
Bells
1205 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 574-4450
Hours: Hours: Monday through Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday noon-8pm, Sunday 10am - 6pm
If you have a wedding with over one hundred guests, this might be your only option outside
the casinos. A good friend of the Bender Internet Group has parents who got married there,
so we admit our opinion is biased. It looks like an adobe mission, complete with large
bell. Inside there is a high cathedral ceiling and a pretty interior. To complete
the theme there are Native American stained glass windows and Western Indian-style
chandeliers. It's charming.
A Special Memory
Wedding Chapel
800 S. Fourth Street
(800) 9-MARRYU
Hours: Sunday through Thursday 8am - 10pm, Friday & Saturday 8am - midnight
If you're looking for a "real" wedding in Las Vegas, you should consider A
Special Memory Wedding Chapel. This chapel looks like a New England-style church, but this
time it feels it too. Inside there are cathedral ceilings, dark wood interiors and
pews that are padded. It seats about ninety people, and has a pretty stained glass
window of flowers and doves. The Bride is able to make her entrance through the double
doors, or she may descend the stairs for her waiting chamber. You would know you were
getting married in Las Vegas unless you wanted to - they have a drive through window too.
There's also a mini-bridal mall for all your nuptial needs, including a place to get a
tee-shirt commemorating the occasion.
San Francisco
Sally's Victorian Chapel
1394 Las Vegas Blvd.
(800) 658-8677
Hours: Sunday through Thursday 10am - 4pm, Friday & Saturday 10am - 8pm
San Francisco Sally's Victorian Chapel is a fun and charming place that could have easily
been a disaster. The tiny church is filled with Victorian ornamentation like fringed lamps
to make you feel like your having an "Olde Tyme Parlor Wedding". It kinda
looks like a bordello, but that's part of the fun. They'll even rent you costumes of
period clothing. Why not go all the way, the alterations are free. The staff absolutely
pampers you and makes the event a lot of fun (as it should be). The ceremony is very
unusual and memorable, but you won't be able to share this fantasy wedding with too many
people because the chapel is tiny. We're talking tiny-there's probably room for
about four people.
