Z Tejas Grill
3824 Paradise Road
(702) 732-1660
This restaurant derived it's name from the original chef whose French accent pronounced
"the" as "zee". "Z" name stuck.
Z Tejas Grill serves good tex-mex food in a very interesting dining room. The split-level
wood interior features pine beams, shutters separating dining nooks and walls hung with
abstract art. During the day, sunlight pours in from huge windows, while at night the room
is romantically lit by soft lights and candlelight.
The food is better than average tex-mex with a couple of pleasant
surprises. One such find was the Navajo roll; cheese, seasoned crabmeat and vegetables
wrapped in herb bread and topped with fried spinach. We've never heard of it before, but
we'll be on the look-out now. Have a margarita with your meal, they're made from scratch.
Also consider dropping in for the Happy Hour specials (4 to 7pm weekdays) for half price
appetizers and $.50 off drinks.
