Lawry's has perfected the art of the prime rib. For a time, Lawry's didn't have any other entrees. They only served prime rib with side dishes. Today, you can find alternatives like salmon or swordfish, but unless you're vegetarian have the meat. The first step of the evening is to tell the waitress (who is wearing a English maid uniform) what you'd like to have as a side dish. Our favorite was the creamed spinach, but you can't really go wrong here. The waitress then returns with the salad. Instead of bringing out dishes, she will mix the salad in front of you by spinning the bowl on a bed of crushed ice. She then pours Lawry's dressing into the bowl from above her head. Neat.
Carts come around your table bearing the meat. You choose your cut from three different sizes; thin English cut, regular Lawry's and the monstrous Diamond Jim Brady. It's served with Yorkshire pudding and an interesting creamed horseradish. It's the best prime rib in Vegas.
