Las Vegas Dining Guide

Enigma Cafe
918 1/2   S. Fourth Street
(702) 386-0999
Not too far from downtown, the Emigma Cafe is renowned for its artsy atmosphere and healthy, cheap food. The cafe is comprised of two cottages, one for taking orders while the other serves as an art gallery with additional seating. Folk and classical music is played, creating a serene place to have lunch away from the Strip. At night the area is alive with poetry readings and live music.
The menu offers healthy alternatives to the near lethal levels of cholesterol found in other establishments. You can get standard sandwiches like ham & cheese, or try a tuna melt with horseradish and havarti. Of course there are also salads and light fare like hummus and pitas. If you feel like you're running out of gas, The Enigma Cafe has fruit shakes with ginsing as well as every coffee drink imaginable. It a nice, healthy break from the usual Vegas cuisine.
