We selected this hotel as it is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and we have had favorable experiences in hotels carrying this distinction.
I have never had a worse experience.
We reserved 2 adjoining rooms several months in advance. Upon arrival (3:30 p.m.) we were shown to a room and told the room next door (not adjoining) would be ready soon. Three hours and several complaints to the Assistant Manager, I was told that they did not know when the room next door would be ready, and offered me a room down the hall. I objected. They finally moved us to another section of the hotel with adjoining rooms (8:00 p.m.)
The next day we were gone all day returning to the rooms at 4:00 p.m. to find that neither had been cleaned. I called housekeeping and was informed that the housekeepers left at 4:30. I again called the Assistant Manager, who dispatched a housekeeper to the rooms. Upon arrival, the housekeeper asked me "Do you want the sheets changed?"
using a tone clearly indicating that it would be a bother to do so.
We cut our trip short by a day, and I had to call the valet 3 times to have our luggage picked up. It took 1 hour.
This is a poorly managed hotel with no concept of customer service.
Do not stay at this hotel.
