Stardust Resort and Casino

The Stardust Resort and Casino and it's distinct frontage has occupied a spot on the Strip since 1958. As part of the one-upmanship of the early casino days, the Stardust once had the largest sign in the world. Today, the Stardust sign is one of the famous scenes of Las Vegas. The Stardust completed a $300 million renovation, but got more notoriety for being the location for the movie "Showgirls".

Today, one of the main reasons to go to the Stardust is to see the legendary Wayne Newton. Aside from building him the Wayne Newton Theater, the casino wisely signed him up to a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract, guaranteeing them the best headliner entertainment in Vegas for years.

The sports book inside the Stardust is one of the best in Las Vegas. Serious sportsmen come here to place their wagers due to the statistical information posted in the casino handicapper's library. The large seating area has over 250 seats and 50 monitors carrying races on a sophisticated satellite system. If you're serious about sports betting, this is the place to go.

The 90,000-square foot gaming floor of the casino is usually crowded and tends to be on the noisy side. The huge slots area is responsible for the cacophony on the gaming floor, but most of the patrons are there for slots anyway.
