The Boardwalk Casino
& Holiday Inn is a bit
of Coney Island brought to Las Vegas. Holiday Inn spent lots of money to change the facade
of the building. It has clowns, boardwalk games and a roller coaster (strictly for
aesthetics). It's too bad that it is buried in the shadow of New York New York. ( Almost
literally because New York New York is not too far away) The atmosphere is fun and the
staff in the hotel might be the most friendly and helpful in Las Vegas.
The casino floor is not exceptional in any
way, but somehow manages to project fun. The rooms are nice but are probably more
expensive than the average Holiday Inn. One key advantage that is unusual for Las
Vegas is that you can get to the lobby and your room without going through the casino. As
a member of the Holiday Inn chain, you be assured of quality and it can't be emphasized
enough that what the Boardwalk Casino lacks in high-tech glitz, it makes up with friendly
service. The rooms themselves are like other Holiday Inn rooms with the addition of Coney
Island prints. Try to stay in the new tower, the rooms are nicely decorated and are
comfortable.
Caffe Boardwalk is open
for breakfast and lunch 7am to 4 pm, Italian cuisine is served here
after 5pm.
