Like most other casinos in Las Vegas, Harrah's has
undergone a recent renovation to completely change the look and feel of the casino.
Originally designed like an old showboat, (like in Atlantic city, but nicer) the new
Harrah's looks and feels like a combination of European Carnivals and Mardi Gras.
There are old posters and murals from European festivals, and there is a low cheese factor
in the casino.
Harrah's Las Vegas has made strides to make the
casino more fun. Besides the facelift, Harrah's now features events like "party
pits", where dealers wear funny hats and get into the mood. They'll cheer for you,
hand out party favors and it is not unusual for a real party to break out. Depending on
the dealer and the crowd, gambling here is as fun as it gets (if you win).
If you're going to play at Harrah's, join the Total
Gold slot club. For new members, Harrah's will refund your losses up to $100. You must
play for at least one hour to qualify, but free money is free money. Check for rules and
availability.
The rooms are decorated in light colors with marble
fixtures. They are large enough to offer a couch and a table, but if you ask most parents
the best feature is the Nintendo game system in every room.
