World of Coca-cola

This attraction is located in the Showcase Mall, just north of the MGM Grand on the Strip. You can't miss the place because it is fronted by a three story bottle of coke. There are interactive displays, live events and attractions and over fifty varieties of coke from which to sample.

After paying your $2 admission, you enter an elevator that is housed inside the   coke bottle that faces the Strip. As the elevator rises, you hear the sounds of a coke being opened and poured. It's perky sibilance makes you feel like a bubble rising in the bottle too. You're greeted on the third floor by an old-style barker who points out the attractions. There are displays, interactive exhibits manned by live performers, video clips of old commercials and other attractions. As you take the self guided tour through the events, you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about coke, except the sacred secret formula.

Stations are manned by live performers who give you some coke insight. There's even a soda jerk who teaches you how to mix a perfect coke and gives you a free souvenir soda jerk's hat. Eventually you'll make your way to the tasting room where over fifty versions of coke can be sampled. There's orange soda, ginger beer, apple soda, etc.,  in addition to strange international concoctions.

Your last stop is the gift shop where you can Coca Cola clothing and merchandise. It's a great distraction and is definitely worth the $2.
