If you are looking for a large and glitzy resort with lots of noise and activity, then do not bother stopping at the Frontier Casino/Hotel. Located in the middle of the Strip, it has to be the best kept secret in Las Vegas.
Opened in 1942, it has undergone a number of renovations, with $8 million worth of investments. However, despite several upgrades, the resort still maintains the vintage effects of early Vegas. Some of the changes include moving the Bingo area, adding some more slot machines to its already massive gaming floor, adding some restaurants, and freshening up the rest of it.
The new Frontier offers a variety of entertainment, including two Elvis impersonators and a selection of theater shows in the showroom. The hotel rooms offer views of the Strip or the surrounding mountains. The main highlight of the casino is that is never too crowded; you won't need to fight for a space at the slot machines or gaming tables.
Other amenities include trying your hand at the mechanical bull, dancing on a large dance floor to a live band, or taking part in the best barbecue this side of Texas. If you do not think the barbecue is what you are looking for in the way of dinning, there are a number of other possibilities. You can try Phil's Angus Steak House, Margarita's, or The Orchard Coffee Shop.
