The art-deco themed Forever Grand Wedding Chapel features two elegantly-appointed chapels for two to 60 guests. The full service, non-denominational chapel offers wedding coordinators, photography, videography, live piano accompaniment, floral arrangements, accommodations, receptions, and a menu selection. Specialty themed packages also are available, including the "EFX" package, where couples can take their wedding vows on the stage of the mega production show, "EFX," surrounded by waterfalls and cast member Merlin as the officiant. The Chapel also offers the "Encore" package for vow renewals. More than 100,000 marriages are performed in Las Vegas every year. Blood tests are not required and there is no waiting period in the State of Nevada. All one needs to get married in Vegas is a valid driver's license and $35 for a marriage license, and someone to marry. (None of which this writer possesses.) After you visit the Clerk's office to obtain your marriage license, you have to find a chapel. Some of the casinos have chapels for more traditional weddings, but if you're going all the way you might want to consider the non-casino alternatives. Within a half-mile of the Strip between Sahara Avenue and downtown, there are numerous private chapels where you can get hitched.
